What Are You Listening To?
Listening to the new ROSALÍA album. Motomami was excellent and so I was quite excited for this one. It's very different but I'm liking it.

This and "Lowly" have been living rent-free in my head since I saw 28 Years Later

Can’t tag Wayno annoyingly but I feel like you either know and love this song or you’re ABOUT TO WHEN YOU PRESS PLAY

You were right on the latter part. I loved it after listening to it. I'll check the full album this weekend.

I knew the album art looked incredibly familiar then I saw the track listing and it made sense. A Perfect Circle covered "The Nurse Who Loved Me" on "Thirteenth Step" which is one of my favourite albums ever.

Fun fact, Troy van Leeuwen (current QOTSA stalwart) was in both Failure and APC and would have played both versions of this song at some point. Neat.

That IS a fun fact. I’ve not listened to A Thirteenth Step in a long time tbh, I might give it a spin.

Another banger:

The Protomen have been rolling out their long-awaited Act 3 album for several weeks now. The final two tracks come out next week (one on Monday or Tuesday, the other on Friday).

Track 13 was absolutely masterful. Lyrical references and culminations to the entire trilogy throughout. Musically polished, but the writing is so unbelievably strong. They took 16 years to get this album made, and I dare say this is a big reason why. Worth it.
