I really like Jane Remover and I've been curious about the leroy side project but this isn't my thing really. I find screamo style vocals hard to tolerate for some reason, although there are exceptions, like this wonderful song:

i remember clicking on this because i thought the style of the titles and the album art was cool. the james ferraro vaporwave aesthetic mixed with hardcore and whatever else you would call that (DEATHBREAJKCOREWAVE???) is really neat.



this song popped into my head the other day, and i think i've really come to appreciate it as my favourite song from this collab. it is like that thom yorke thing of at some point this was a simple, pretty piano ballad that got abstracted into this floating, dreamy thing. the bassline is somehow the softest, most gentle kick drum that also feels unsettling and haunted.

Nice track, has a real ethereal quality to it which I love. I see your comparison to Yorke, though I'd say it has a bit of an almost dark magical feel to it that Yorke, or at least his Radiohead output that I'm familiar with, doesn't really tap into. Sans vocals I can imagine the track laid over some niche 1980s high fantasy film, for example. Great stuff.

good song, the combination of organic elements with the kind of effected vocals really reminds me of this broken social scene song.

though i like that this song has a lot of forward momentum with the bass & rhythm. this is like super8 montage with the love of your life type music

i'll recommend this track from the new boards of canada album. on first listen this track didn't particularly stand out to me, but just recently i've really started to appreciate things about it. there's this brief moment in the middle where this rising electric piano line sort of blooms out of the texture, and it is very heart-aching and mysterious.
