It was a good effort but you wasn’t as subtle as you usually were tbh

Quote:black king's roleblock on Agent on Night 2 threw a massive spanner in mafia's plans as they had deduced that Jassassino had Hack and wanted to kill him before he could claim the role. However, bk himself was convinced that mafia had targeted The One rather than been successfully blocked and instead roleblocked Null on Night 3.
Coincidental block for the win!
I wasn't aware I could block the mafia's kill. I only thought I could block their abilities
Quote:Despite having Hack, Jassassino's suspicion of Agent and Aragorn were just that-suspicion. He hadn't investigated either of them at the point of stating he was voting for them. Regardless, that one statement left town convinced Jassassino knew something they didn't.
@ Jassassino , this is the second game in a row where you've had the mafia nailed by Day 2.
Good gamble there at the end, Agent. You and Gorn almost got me.

I remember saying this the first round of mafia, but, if we do this again, I'll actually be active, I promise. I just got unlucky with rl stuff again I'm afraid. Just to clear things up in case of any confusion, the "stuck in a traffic jam for the past few days" was an attempt to reference departed(?, pretty sure it was departed) who you guys had mentioned as using his truck driving as an excuse for inactivity during previous mafia games, I don't think that landed quite as well as I thought it would (in fairness, I was pretty braindead when making that post iirc)

Real life always comes first, St3ve. My brain pretty much taped over The Departed after I saw the original Infernal Affairs trilogy.
Annoying, it had as much to do with my interpretation of the word "contact" as anything else.
Duck, you did a great job a dungeon master on this, serious kudos.
And everybody, that was a fine experience indeed. Thanks again.

I thought it was actually a reference at first but wasn't confident to say so! Hilarious and hilarious that it's now been a defining feature of two mafia games in our community's history.
Thanks for hosting Duck, had a great time even watching from the sidelines and felt super chuffed when it looked like my two identified Mafia were followed up on by town (even after death!). Look forward to the next one... whoever it may be hosting!

If I didn't have my health and real life problems, I'd run one. Maybe someday. I have no shortage of ideas for themes, though, if anyone needs suggestions!
