I apologise for the confusion and any upset caused and will try and keep my definitions narrower in future to avoid any potential kinship that may accidentally arise from enjoying remasters of old titles. I have reopened the thread. @Null what were the FF remakes you played? The most recent releases? I played the FF1 and 2 ports on PSP back in the day and I remember reading that they have content and balancing which is quite different from the original releases. Think even a boss battle which is unique to the PSP version? Not sure.

My girlfriend's housemate found out how many retro consoles I own (with multiples of PS1, Wii, Xbox 360) and acted very offended that I hadn't set any up over there. I thought he was all talk but last night we got back from a long weekend away for my girlfriend's birthday and he was like "now, I'm out tonight so there's no need to rush home to get the consoles now."

I'm hoping my copy of Wii Sports is somewhere I can find easily as I've wanted to play it again for a long time. I feel like I need more Wiimotes is the only thing-I bought a secondhand Wii bundle mainly for the Wiimotes but both were broken!

We got some of the cool Wiimotes they released a good few years back in Asia that were character themed so I got Luigi and Leelee got Peach, think the Toad one wasn't out then though so she probably would have gotten that. I realised I sold my copy of Resort a while back and was disgusted as I love it for table tennis and almost exclusively that, managed to haggle someone down to sell it to me for €8 with postage a few days ago so I hope it arrives before the weekend.

I remember seeing these back in the day. I thought the Wii, above most other consoles (barring the PS2) had some really cool colour schemes available to get. I've actually got two Wii consoles. One which we got as a family (and proceeded to never play except for one Christmas, until I adopted it like 2 or 3 years after) which is aqua blue with a matching Wiimote. The other one is a first gen one which just showed up in our garage one Christmas day after our (now estranged) alcoholic uncle broke in and just sat in there for an hour. Not sure if he forgot it or it was genuinely intended for us as a present, but lmao we'll take it.
