I need to block ebay because I seemingly end up getting a new old console every few months...

I got emudeck working on my SteamDeck. Don't know why I put it off for so long, it was like 3 taps of the touchscreen and all of a sudden I'm playing The Twin Snakes in my hands.

I bought Final Fantasy VIII from a CEX in Brighton a couple weeks ago. Left the shop only to find that the case was covered in what seemed to be dried soy sauce and disc 1 looked what I can only describe as mouldy. Don't CEX clean the shit that's traded into them normally? This particular shop also didn't let me use a coupon code I had a photo of despite most CEXes letting me so annoyingly they were sticklers in regards to things that worked to my detriment but lazy in ways that would help me...like cleaning the soy sauce off of my game.

CEX are lazy fucks unfortunately, it's one place where I've found jokes about staff hygiene aren't always jokes. If I'm ever buying from them it's always in-store and never online and I'm always fully checking through everything before I walk away from the counter.

My local store has atrocious customer service. I travel 10+ extra miles to Wolverhampton just to avoid their staff.

The thought of playing 50 rounds with a friend is transcendent. Haven't had a sesh like that in ages.

I never actually played Custom Robo, is it an arena fighter?

yeah it was literally like living the n64 dream haha. if we had two more people in the room i think shigeru miyamoto somewhere would have shed a tear.

arena fighter sounds right, there's a bunch of stages (i was actually surprised at how many were on there) with different environments, obstacle layouts, hazards, etc. before each round you get to build your robo—i don't know the translations but your weapons are like gun, grenade, drone, and melee. you can also change your movement ability with different boots. and theres like HUNDREDS of options, it feels like. so you just keep messing with different combos until you find something insanely broken.

highly recommended

Last twelve months I've added a Dreamcast, Mega Drive and a Gamecube to the mix. Nice wee collection for the GC and DC; but my physical 'to play' pile is fucking huuuuuuuge (think I have close to 1000 physical games over PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, Vita, Gamecube, Switch, Switch 2, Mega Drive and Dreamcast and Xbox 360). And that isn't even counting the Steam pile, PS Store games and Nintendo store stuff. I may have enough games for the next 15 years aha.
