FWIW, I did really enjoy Violet. Sure, it runs like shit, is graphically basic and has pop-in issues, but if you're like me and don't reaally give two fucks about performance, then there are some really good ideas in there.

I enjoyed Violet definitely and I'm happy that they're exploring new ways of keeping the games fresh. The Herba Mystica battles against the Titan Pokemon have been some of the more memorable fights I've had in Pokemon. 

I liked Gen 9 trying new things. Team Star was the best since Plasma, the Titan pokemon were fun, and the characters were some of the best they've made. If only we could get voice acting for the games! 

What was your Violet team?

Honestly, I can't remember properly! 

Picked Sprigatito as my starter because Meowscarada looked cool as fuck. I used to love all the fire starters as a kid, but I've seemed to edge away from them for the last few games! 

Gyarados and Ceruledge are the only others I remember. The other three slots I was probably changing throughout.

Thought I'd give that Blue Prince a go since it's just come out and everyone is raving about it. Currently sitting at a 93 on Metacritic.

I understand the appeal for people with a lot more patience than I have, but it simply isn't a game for me. I found the initial gameplay loop to be more tedious, and there's a heavy reliance on RNG to actually make progress to the antechamber. Enjoy the premise, and would undoubtedly enjoy it more if my brain was wired in a certain way.
