I'm going after the platinum and part of that entails getting the best armor in the game. To get it, you have to fight a specific enemy in a specific location and hope it drops a specific item.

Luckily I just managed it now so ONWARDS

I've platinumed and completed FFIV. It was really good. I actually enjoyed it more than VI, but I can see why people prefer the latter. For me, Cecil Harvey's story is one of the best...to my mind this is a pretty underrated FF. Not sure how many feel the same.

Now for some insane reason I'm going straight into V. I took years to play these games and now I'm knocking them out in the space of months.

Nice to see IV getting more love. Some of the main cast are great and have such good designs (my PSN avatar has been the FFXIV dragoon for probably nearly 10 years but I only got it because it's basically Kain, and he has been the basis for my XIV character too which I only started recently).

Enjoy V. It's definitely one I need to try again myself because I feel like I had to rush it a bit for some reason when I played it. Has one of the funniest antagonists too.

Yeah, Kain was a pretty great character. As much as I enjoyed the game in its form its hard not to imagine how greater the immersion would be if all of these games were remade.

FFV is my fav so far. As weird as it is I actually think right now V > IV > VI

It's utterly insane how subjective this series can be. A testament to how good it is.

There's a thread on Resetera at the minute that's asking the younger members what type of things or views do they not get that a lot of the older people on the site often say or think. One thing that has come up on it repeatedly is people asking "what's all the fuss about Final Fantasy and why do people care about it so much" lol.
