My vote is no.

@Wayno does that end the first nomination, then? Or does everyone need to vote?

Either someone nominates someone else or we move on to night two as there's not enough to put Aragorn on the block.

Wow, this thread has been busy.

I find voting a little confusing but I'll review the process in a bit. I would say no to executing Aragorn anyway, not that it matters now.

Honestly, we can let this go into No Lynch and call it a day - but I can't remember a single game where No Lynch was beneficial, and honestly whenever i'd be the big baddie in previous games i'd always count on that first day No Lynch (or Novitch getting shot. RIP).

Is this nomination full of conviction or hard evidence? no, but I think it's worth at least putting all cards on the table even if you guys deem it a no-go.

Nomination: Null.

Reasoning:

1. This one is the simplest, just my gut feeling. Doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things but had to mention it.

2. Quickly started alluding to people being the demon. Standard game banter/enthuisasm? could be, or could be a bad guy trying to get a train going while being subtle.

3. Voted for one of two people who may as well be confirmed innocent.

4. Rode on a nomination made by another player. Always a safe way to play.

Again, none of this is hard evidence - but at the same time i'm not sure if letting this game play out with a no kill first day is a good idea.

Right @Null has been nominated by Aragorn. Henry, defence?

Again, 4 votes (half the alive player count rounded up) to Null on the block to be executed.

Gorn's case is fair enough on paper but it's not really strong at all. My early comments were day 1 speculation more than anything, and my vote on him was based on me not properly clocking Star’s implication. Once I realised the likely Washerwoman angle, I backed off that line.

I’m not against an execution in principle on day 1, but obviously I don’t think this is the right one. If people want to pressure me, fine, but I’d rather we use the day on someone with less mechanical protection around them than the Agent/Aragorn pair, and with more to go on than ‘you were posting and then adjusted your read'.

Feels a bit like penalised for actually 'playing' as opposed to any solid takes.

Everyone waiting for someone else to do something:

Despite his defences I'm still leaning towards yes to Null. His defence is essentially that he 'missed' starschwar's role implication, and while there is obviously a chance that could be true starschwar is not very subtle (sorry, star) and it wasn't exactly a buried post or anything as it was the latest post when Null made his. Pointing out that you took it back when it was highlighted as an odd choice after star's post doesn't necessarily mean anything, as at that point you'd obviously do that whether you were townsfolk or not.

I feel relatively positive about the innocence of Starschwar and Jassassino, and myself. I don't think Null has posted more suspiciously than anyone else. If we're supposed to lynch at random to get information in this game i'll go along with that, though it is against my usual judgement. I'll wait for him to post again before voting.
