Blood on the Clocktower
@Agent , do you still not want me to reveal the role my may ability says that you have?

Apologies for the delay folks, 9-5 slavery and all.

Here is my defense:

1. My understanding of this is Starch is plainly either the librarian or the washerwoman. If he’s a librarian, then his only claim is that we’re outsiders or not. I agree with what Prick is saying in that I feel we’re missing something by just assuming his role is self evidently important and innocent. I’m not saying Agent is a minion or the demon, but his role claim is abstract and it’s the foundation pillar of my demise.

2. This is the second clear I’ve gotten in this game between Starch and Duck.

3. The defense rests on the idea of me being a demon and willingly sacrificing Prick at night. This makes no sense. Why would I kill my comrade on day 1 when he was under no heat/pressure?

Aragorn has given his defence. It will require 3 nominations to put him up on the block for execution. This can be done with a combination of alive and dead votes.

Again, I'm willing to let players retract dead votes if the threshold is met. Or, you can choose to keep your dead vote in place so a different nomination requires a higher threshold to pass.

I would say definitely hold from doing that for now - the role in question, and the fact you know, can indicate a lot. It can either totally implicate or prove the innocence of Agent or Aragorn.

That only works really if Duck definitely *is* the Fortune Teller and hasn't just made a gambit for which role he doesn't think is assigned. All we actually know about Duck is that he is not the Demon. His information on my innocence was only claimed after I'd already role claimed, and hate to say it but myself and StarSchwar are actually the only ones who are near 100% innocent in play atm. Yourself, Null, Agent and Duck are all potential demons/minions (that's if my role was sabotaged by the Minion role and Duck is actually the demon after all). Any retroactive information regarding us is actually redundant to a defence now.

Also, not every role is assigned, no proof of Monk being in play (and tbh I think Duck would know that), so his pleas for protection feel more like theatrics than anything else.

All in all it's really still up in the air. I say if today isn't a hit, then we just move down the list with Agent and Null.

Yes to Aragorn

Why would I not appeal to The Monk in case they're alive and in play? We have no insight into what Annoying Prick's role was, and Aragorn's role is also a mystery. On top of that even the mere mention of the Monk protecting me has the potential to deter the Demon from trying to kill me, I suppose that would make it theatrics but it would be very stupid of me to not remind them that's a role that can cost them a night kill if they go for obvious kills.

Also your role claim could be false, mechanically-I would definitely have questioned it had I not investigated you on night one. I've shown no suspicion of you since the game began.

I was the Undertaker. Since nobody was executed before my murder I unfortunately was never able to use my power so I have no other information.

Since Agent's accusation of Aragorn rests on the assumption I was the Minion then I can't offer my dead vote against him, at least not without better evidence that Agent is town. I agree with Aragorn that claiming the first death as the minion when the player in question was pretty inactive is an odd leap to make. That seems totally counter-intuitive to me, that the Imp would target a Minion that nobody suspected before a town.

Once a defense is given, the player giving that defend can't continue arguing right?

It doesn't, read my post again, I outlined every logical possibility, even the most unlikely ones for anyone still unconvinced.

I mean IRL there is backwards and forwards as the defence being given so I don't see why that can't be the same here. I will allow it for so long before it looks like it's dragging on too long. Once the votes are in I'll look at wrapping it up and moving on to new potential nominations.

Supposedly you investigated me night 1 and 2, but I also don't really see why you would have done? If I'm reading Fortune Teller's role right, that makes no sense. Not to mention Day 1 and 2 you drew votes away from Aragorn as you are now.

If you read Slayers role, exactly what was said to happen happened. Both you and Aragorn seem keen to work on the assumption that it was a joke claim, if not just sow seeds of doubt in people on its legitimacy.

Honestly I've missed where he said this. Maybe it's just the thread being pretty active but I saw him listing Duck as the minion.
