It was too much of a slog for me.(09-04-2025, 07:18 PM)Suede Wrote: I've been meaning to get the Pixel Remaster collection for a while now, since I still need to play I-VI (I've played a little of VI, but only got so many hours into it). On which one is my favourite, mine is FFVII, it's also probably my second most favourite game of all time behind Super Metroid, loved Remake and Rebirth even more. Not many games get me to tear up from just the joy of playing it or because I care so much about the characters.
Also, after finishing Rebirth last year I went back to the original FFVII to get the platinum, it was so much fun, I've never been able to beat Ruby weapon before, so it felt great to finally do it after so many years. I loved trying out all the recommended tactics to take him out. I think in the end I did the trick where you only have 1 party member alive and then use W-Summon with Knights of the Round amongst some other things I'm forgetting. I love the materia system.
I’m intending to do the platinum in the lead up to whatever the finale of the trilogy is. I platinumed Crisis Core before Rebirth and it serves well to sort of fill the gap between titles. Although I’ve actually not even beaten Rebirth. It’s just had to take a back burner in lieu of a lot of other stuff despite being my most anticipated game of last year. I have this weird thing where I won’t boot the Remake games up unless I have a good chunk of time because I feel this need to properly “respect” my first playthrough. I need to get back to it fr.
