Went to see Frank Turner four nights in a row (he does a yearly festival called 'Lost Evenings', came to Edinburgh this year). A fantastic four nights but the last night ended with him being heavily booed as he announced next year is going to Dallas. Very punky, queer crowd and it did not go down well. Like...at all. 3 minute mark if anyone's interested.
EDIT: Oh, and we've all got covid as well apparantly. Yaaaaaaay. No seriously, there's a group chat and everyone is blowing up LFT's like we're Jean Claude Van Damme in the 90s and there's cocaine somewhere on planet earth.

Ordered a ticket to see Electric Six on the off-chance it clashes with a work trip to London so I don't have to go. I know two songs, but it's worth it.

Forgot to mention in here that I saw Lady Gaga the other week - phenomenal show. One of the best designed and well presented performances I've ever seen live. Really, really enjoyed myself and that's despite the fact it was seated only (obviously we and everybody else stood up, but it did mean there was no wrangling our way for a better view, though the seats we did have were actually fine). I'll definitely (hopefully) fork out to see here again with a standing ticket next time she releases an album.

Been at a couple of album launch parties over the last week - saw Idlewild on Tuesday and Ash on Friday. If you're interested in anything pop-punk (I think that's the best description I can give of Ash) definitely worth checking out. Also the first band I ever saw play live 22 years ago supporting Robbie Williams.

Last gig I went to was nearly a year ago. The mighty Interpol at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton. They were immense, as they have been every time I've seen them live. It was a perfect setlist for me, it was for the 20th anniversary of Antics, and the extended encore picks were all my favourite songs. I lost my shit when they played Rest My Chemistry (probably my favourite song of theirs, as it deals with themes of addiction), then the final encore was Roland (which I'd never heard live before), and Obstacle 1.
But I am seeing The Midnight in Glasgow in a few weeks! I aim to start going to more gigs in the New Year. Really hoping Fiddlehead can finagle a UK/European tour.
