Did not get this notifaction naturally  Sad Good thing I checked the thread!

Anyway glad you liked it! I read the original Thrawn trilogy back in middle school (13 or 14 I think) and still remember how Zahn pulled me in and made Thrawn one of my favorite villains. Let me know what you think of the rest and if you want my Star Wars Legends reading list again!

Been trying to get back into reading a bit more lately, almost finished Homer's The Odyssey. Enjoyed it so far, haven't read much from Homer or on Greek mythology before.

I'm currently reading 'Original Sin', the book on the Biden's decision to run again and how bad an idea it was. Last thing I read was, I believe, Breakfast Of Champions by Vonnegut. *makes mental note to buy more Vonnegut*

Yeah give me that list! I know for sure I'm wanting to read Death Troopers but other than that I've no other SW books on my list.

Never read Death Troopers, heard it was good though.

Anyway on the Thrawn side:
Heir to the Empire
Dark Force Rising
The Last Command

Hand of Thrawn Duology:
Specter of the Past
Vision of the Future

An awesome Thrawn prequel:
Outbound Flight

Darth Bane trilogy:
Path of Destruction
Rule of Two
Dynasty of Evil

One final one for you is Darth Plagueis

I've been reading the original Ian Fleming 007 books. Since I'm a huge fan of the movies but never delved into the books before. I've finished: Casino Royale, Live and Let Die and Moonraker. Currently reading Diamonds Are Forever. They're ok but nothing spectacular. I can't help but feel like they would've faded into obscurity if it hadn't taken of as a film series. They're also pretty sexist and racist at times which can make them tough to get through. There's a chapter in Live and Let Die that's actually called "Ni**er Heaven"

But it is pretty interesting to see how they differ from the movies. They mostly kept the stories in tact from what I've read, expect for Moonraker which is nothing like the movie. I'll try to stick with them, which should be easy enough because they're quite short. It's kind of annoying though since most book stores in my city don't seem to have them, I've had to buy all of them online so far

Just started these three. A friend of mine recommended the first two, she said they’d be right up my alley for some reason. War of Art I’m hoping will help me through my first period of writers block.

"The Mercy of Gods"

The first novel in a new series by the same writing duo as The Expanse. Which is one of my favourite sci-fi series'. I picked up the new book yesterday and read 5 chapters this morning. It's a little too early to get a proper read on it but I like it so far. It seems like they can recreate what I liked so much from The Expanse series

I'm also going through a period of writers block, like immediately upon getting back into something I'm working on. No pressure but if you can remember, I'd love to know how/if War of Art works for you because I'm starting to consider drastic measures (entire bottle of whisky).

Just about finished a re-read of Roadside Picnic. I liked it a lot the first time I read it, but I appreciated it a bit more on this read through. It just has such a unique tone that is present for the entire book. Colorful, but bleak underneath. Decayed and falling apart, but new life is springing up to replace what has decayed.

After Roadside Picnic I think I'm either going to finish off William Gibson's Sprawl Trilogy (with Mona Lisa Overdrive) or possibly dig into this anthology of Warhammer horror stories I bought because the page edges were dyed red and it spoke to me (UNHOLY: Tales of Horror and Woe from the Imperium)
