I am not a metalhead at all, but my dad is and going to punk and metal shows together is our father/son pastime. He's quite shaken by Ozzy dying of course. Out of all the heavy metal in the world, Ozzy,  Iron Maiden and Motorhead are the few among it that I enjoy and that my father and I can bond over, but what era of Ozzy has always been a point of contention. He considered most of his stuff post-1980's to be corny, and my personal favorite album of his is No More Tears (1991). Well, thank you Mr. Osbourne, because as of yesterday I think you finally got him to come around to the rest of your stuff.

and of course, rest in peace.

Ah Lemmy as well, what an icon. Feel like so many core gaming memories of mine have Motorhead in the background (almost exclusively Ace of Spades) and it's nice to have got into Motorhead through that.

NGL this whole compilation album is a bit of guilty pleasure of mine but I'm sharing Ozzy's song on it anyway:

I'm really kicking myself because I always wanted to see Motorhead and had the chance to see one of their last shows in like 2014 and didn't (I was 15 to be fair but my dad would have totally been down for that). Now I've lived 26 years and never had the chance to see Black Sabbath, I'm actually quite saddened that 2 out of my favorite 3 I will never be able to experience live now. I've gotta see Iron Maiden live before something random happens to Bruce Dickinson or some shit, seriously.

Oh wait I also like Pantera. So 2/4 I was never able to see (at least w Dimebag Darrell RIP)
