Voted Greens for upcoming council elections via Postal Vote as I'll be away. If anyone needs me I'll be strapped to a tree to prevent our corporate overlords building a new hospital.

I also voted Greens in the council elections today. To be honest, not 100% convinced by Greens (and not because of the Golders Green stuff going on right now) and I don't think Keir has been as bad as a lot of right-wing media outlets and personalities would want you to believe so I could definitely swing back to Labour by the time the next General Election rolls around, but I'm willing to entertain the prospect that a viable left wing alternative actually exists and consider this a trial run for the Greens should they actually win a few seats.

i could have written this post tbh

except i didn't vote today, because i hadn't registered at my new address yet and i cba to go to the other side of south london to angrily vote greens

it is somewhat significant for me though, its the first time in my entire life ive never voted (for anything, local, mayoral etc.) and it would have been the first time I ever voted for someone other than labour

Not voted as I'm not sure where I'm registered to vote these days as I'm looking to get my own place in the next few months I don't want to mess things up.

I too would have voted Green and as much as I agree that Starmer hasn't been as bad as the rags have suggested I lost confidence in him a while ago. His continuing abandoning of any traditional Labour ideals to go and chase the votes of the divorced dad's who paint roundabouts because they don't have access to their kids and the Mandelson debacle are key things that I cannot overlook as the leader of the party I've voted for all my life. I do think he has to be replaced before the next GE as I think 14 years under a Tory government would look like an afternoon nap to what we potentially have to look forward to. Looking at the early results my area (Salford) has still gone Red so at least they've not gone Reform.

Yeah, Labour's bid to attract Reform voters hasn't...uh...worked. And they've lost people on the centre-left/left. Who could've possibly foreseen that?

A horrible day all round. Reform won the most votes in my consistency in the Senedd election by a good 7000, but thankfully Plaid managed to score the same number of seats so hopefully we won't be bent over too much.

Living in North Wales, I hadn't considered Plaid Cymru as a tactical vote.

Feel like I'll be in the air in 3 days time, setting out with Kier Starmer as PM and landing with a brand new Prime Minister 13 hours later.

This is assuming of course, he lasts for the remainder of the week.
