Final Fantasy Chat

Hey kupos, I completed the game. It was very good. I’m not sure where I rank it in my all time FFs yet as I’ve still got some more staples to play, but it’s pretty high at the moment.

Definitely about to become one of those guys who calls for a Final Fantasy 6 remake every week now

What's next up for you, which ones have you yet to play? I just picked up the pixel remaster so I might try get either to 3 again or replay VI soon although I'll likely wait a month or two.

I’ve got to play FF8-9, 15 and 16. Also technically you can include the FF7 remakes in that as well as from what I hear they are basically their own unique experience.

Oh I need to play 5 as well.

So much final fantasying.

I'm so, so envious of you getting to play VIII and IX from scratch. Even XV a little despite its many flaws. Honestly I'll say I found V a little bit forgettable to an extent but it does have some great sections.

Yeah it’s quite exciting to dip into the franchise properly. I always liked FF because of FF7 and then FFX years later, but I always lacked the patience when I was younger for anything else.

Thing is, now I want to replay FF7 and FFX with fresh blinkers…because it’s comfortable and familiar, but I kind of need to push myself to explore the titles I’ve never touched.

Fun fact, Yoshinori Kitase, who directed VI, VII, VIII, X and Chrono Trigger, has said that V is his favourite.

So you're basically a heretic.

He'll never say a game he made was a favourite!

I love IV. Does your copy have The After Years on it as well?

No, I hear that's great though?

Do me a favour and rank your fav FFs for me. Just out of interest.
