Blood on the Clocktower

How does that post imply he is The Mayor, if that is the role being claimed? I'm checking the role abilities and I don't understand why that vague post about suspecting Jass and Star of being innocent would have convinced Star that Agent is indeed the role he suspected he was.

He's implied he's the Empath, not the Mayor, as Jass and Star are his neighbours, and those are who he said he knew were safe. A middling role in usefulness making it a pretty safe under the radar claim for mafia if it's not a role someone in the game already has. I have no idea why they've been vague posting about it.

Okay, that makes sense. So I guess it was obvious to everyone but me, haha. I wasn't even sure how "neighbours" are determined but it's the list we were placed in at the start of the game. That makes sense.

I think Agent is probably telling the truth then, Aragorn was late to counter role claim and his position seems far more defensive. I doubt Star is clumsy enough to be on the evil team and talk about PMing here because that's what they've been doing.

The Mayor is pretty much useless once the demon knows who they are I suppose. Null was equally late to role claim on day 1 since soldier, too, is useless once exposed.

I assumed it was because Star had received the role as info in particular, so he didn't want to be too obvious and let on about it to prevent Aragorn early pre-emptively counter claiming.

I guess but conversely it's also a very safe role to claim, the Imp isn't going to target you but it also absolves you of suspicion. I could see the argument both for and against role claiming as The Mayor which doesn't really help us at all.

I think playing properly I missed my chance to vote Aragorn so it's all up to Null. I think letting Aragorn be executed is the safer play.

@Jassassino "I assumed it was because Star had received the role as info in particular, so he didn't want to be too obvious and let on about it to prevent Aragorn early pre-emptively counter claiming."

If you check back Star did actually ask Agent if he could announce his role in the thread. Agent never responded so he didn't. Could be evil team hijinks though.

Sorry, when I said "I assume he didn't want to be too obvious", I meant Agent.

Nominations aren't supposed to run concurrently but they currently are, we'll deal with this next nomination.

At it stands Aragorn has 3 and is on the block for execution.

Agent has 2, a third ties and no one dies and a fourth puts him on the block.

I will accept no further nominations as it's gone on too long.

There are people active who have yet to vote and I'm giving them until somewhere between 5 and 8 am BST tomorrow to vote or I'm choosing to view them as abstaining and I'll execute or not depending on the votes and start the next night phase tomorrow morning. Unless people get their backside in gear and vote tonight to the point there's a clear choice made.

I didn't hard claim because I thought it was obvious enough and I thought Star would continue the job of grilling Aragorn etc.

The demon pair's hypothesis is that the culprits are me and Star, and we claimed some middling roles early. Plausible so far. Then Null is nominated by someone else and instead of letting the lynch proceed I change my mind and keep him alive for some reason. Despite knowing he's the soldier and that's the only way to actually kill him.

Duck as the "fortune teller" doesn't make any mention of his findings from night 1 or 2, despite being the strongest town role and the most likely to be killed at night. Using Jass as a "control" also doesn't make sense for his purported ability. He role claims only when Aragorn about to die, who also only claims when he's on the block. Duck is dead against voting for Aragorn, even above himself, because it ends the game on the spot.

I might as well mention that my "random" day one nomination wasn't entirely for jokes.

The demons scheming via PM system rules out some combinations that would be in contact with the GM via phone number/WhatsApp anyway (I don't know this obviously i'm just presuming). 6pm in Kuwait makes sense and it's also just something Aragorn would do. It's not much but it wasn't entirely random.

Well some of us are stupid and don't find it obvious sadly. I think I would have voted for Aragorn earlier but to be consistent with the rules I'll say I missed my chance since if we were playing properly my lack of understanding of the role you were claiming would have prevented me from voting after his nomination.
