Blood on the Clocktower

I am against lynching both Aragorn and Agent until some evidence is presented. I have reasons, but I should keep some things close to the vest at this stage.

I'm ambivalent about anyone else (well, besides myself for obvious reasons). I'll gladly hear any arguments, but unless someone can give me something to go on, I will not vote yet. In the event that the only options are Aragorn, Agent, and Null, I would vote for Null just to protect the other two.

My reasoning is *not* due to alphabetical order, I will say that much.

Hmm

I’m inclined to go with someone because of the fact that death in this game is not like death in Mafia. A no lynch makes less sense in a game setting like this.

In the spirit of that I’ll go with lynch Aragorn.

I see Duck’s allegation and don’t really have much to say in all honesty. If I was to offer up a defence I guess it’s just that I was posting to keep the game flowing, not to plant seeds.

How does that make sense? A death is still a death regardless of if they can carry on talking or not. It still affects the number alive and how close the demon is to winning.

Despite the difference in deaths not really changing anything I do still agree a no lynch still doesn't make sense in this game and is nothing more than a safe day for the demon & co, but why switch from one person starschwar has implied is innocent to another?

Well Agent seems like an even worse choice now than when I nominated him anyway considering StarSchwar lol.

Assuming this game allows vote switching, I'm voting Null

Right guys to reiterate the nomination process, it operates differently to Mafia.

It's done on an individual basis and we go through them one by one. You can only nominate once per day phase and be nominated once per day phase. But you can vote multiple times (provided you are alive)

The first nomination was @Aragorn by @Agent . Can we get Agent's reasoning then Aragorn's defence (and any reasoning by you guys to add to the defence or prosecution). You then get to vote. 4 votes puts Aragorn on the block for execution (half the total alive players rounded up). If no amount nominations following at least match the total then Aragorn is dead. An equal amount ties and no one dies. More votes and the new nominee is on the block.

No other nominations after the initial Aragorn nomination will be considered. Once we have finished processing Aragorn's nomimantion we can look at new nominations. Please re-nominate and then they will go through the same process.

IRL it's literally a hands up or down job. On here I'm going to need hard confirms for yes and no to try and rule out ambiguity. Likes will not be accepted as they can be withdrawn and mess with dead votes (not that I don't trust you).

I appreciate this is longwinded but that's the constraints of playing this on a forum unfortunately. I do have email notifications for this thread on so I will try my best to be on top of this.

Going forward when you nominate can you please provide your reasoning straight away to speed things up. Again, provide whatever evidence or speculation you have. Or just "someone should die and that's my only reasoning" is perfectly fine. You don't have to provide a reason.

I think a day to provide your defence is the limit. If you don't log on to provide one we wil move on to the vote.

Yes, this has the potential to be long ass game.

I didn’t read Star’s post properly so I missed the role implication. That’s my bad. I suppose as solid intel that’s as good as any not to lynch ‘Gorn.

After reading Wayno’s post though it looks like Gorn needs to go through the formal process. Maybe Agent has a reason for nominating Gorn?

As for the heat flipping on me, I don’t have much to offer up. What I said does make sense though because Wayno literally said death is information, and added the caveat that we can still interact once perished.

To me that’s a mechanism designed to force a decision and stop hesitancy. Obviously a wrong move puts us at a numerical disadvantage but for the bigger scope it’s a piece of the puzzle that otherwise we’re operating without.

I don't want to backseat game while in progress but I'd like to add to the below.

This basically is correct. Yes, death means one less alive vote, but as numbers go down, so do the requirement to get a nominee on the block and execute. This is the tradeoff for dying. Being dead can be used as verification, narrowing the scope of suspects. I'm happy to discuss after this games, but there are roles where staying alive as long as possible is helpful, but there are roles that serve a purpose and being dead to advance your team's knowledge is the correct play because you are always in the game, alive or dead.

Apologies this variant is a bit different to our usual mafia, we're used to shoot first ask questions later. My reasoning is vibes, to see if anything would happen and because he likes Dark Souls 2.

Based Aragorn, hated because he speaks the truth.
