Update 3.0: Themes, Throwbacks, & EZ Images

Hello my snake eaters, it's been a while. The boards have now been up for nearly 7 months and I hope those have been an enjoyable 7 months for you all! I've been working on some new additions to the site so allow me to present our third update:

||NEW THEME||
The last theme vote saw Metal Gear Solid win, but I'm afraid that theme isn't quite ready just yet.
That doesn't mean I've come to you empty handed however: this is the "Camo Index" theme.


It might look a bit bland like this. But hover over the Camo Index in the top right and...


A selection of camouflage appears! Let's try selecting "Squares."

To begin with the theme has the default camo patterns from MGS3 to choose from. Keep an eye out for a camouflaged Snake when browsing the forum, if you find him give him a click-exposing him will result in new camo patterns being added for everyone!

||NEW SUBFORUM||
A new subforum has been added:

• MGSForums Archive can be found in Tactical Socialising Action. This forum is for members who were a part of MGSForums to submit threads that they believe deserve revisiting. Head over to check out our first Archived Thread as well as to find out how to make submissions.
  

||EZ IMAGE UPLOAD||
Any members outside of the UK may not be aware but recently the UK government started enforcing ID-Tagged internet browsing and blocking masses of content for any who don't upload identification. Many sites have ceased activity in the UK because of this and one of these is imgur. Unfortunately this means that any images hosted on imgur no longer show up for members using a UK IP address.

For this reason we now have an easier way to use images saved on your devices in your posts.
On the reply screen underneath your text box you will now see this:


Clicking this image will open up a tab on postimage. Uploading a file on that page will upload it onto their site and automatically insert it into your post. I know non-UK members aren't affected by the imgur block so hopefully the convenience of this new option will make it more desirable than imgur regardless.
If you're aware that you have any images hosted on imgur please consider moving them to a different hosting website such as postimage as right now your lovely images are instead looking like this:

This image uploading feature seems to work fine but if you have any problems with it please let me know and I'll go back to the drawing board.

||METAL GEAR GENERAL UPDATE||
Following the outcry from our members concerning the lack of subforums for certain entries in the Metal Gear series I've added a number of thread prefixes as a middle ground. These appear in front of a thread title and make it clear which game the thread concerns.
At the bottom of the thread listing you can even filter what's shown using these prefixes, simulating the subforum experience. The prefixes added are as follows:
"MG/MG2" for the MSX games
"MG GB" for Metal Gear: Ghost Babel
"MGA" for the Metal Gear Acid duology
"MPO" for Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
"MGS PW" for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
"MGR" for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
"MGV" for Metal Gear Survive (this is what people abbreviate Survive as...who knew?)
Please do your best to use them when making threads concerning these games from hereon! And if any of you aren't satiated then keep discussing your favourites and if the discussion simply cannot be contained in Metal Gear General anymore then...who knows?

||NEW LOCATIONS||
The following locations which are home to animals from MGS3 have been added to The Wilderness:

• The Forest
  
• The Swamp
  
• The Cave
  
• The Warehouse
  
• The Field

I know I still haven't finished your promised theme for hitting our last forum goal but we've been stuck on our current one for quite some time. You! Reading this! Go make a topic!
