The MGSForums Archive forum exists to preserve some of the most noteworthy threads in the history of the website MGSForums.com.
The old boards still exists as a living archive but there have been many reports of TapaTalk shutting down inactive forums. Because of this I feel we should pass the torch of MGSF's most memorable threads onto these new boards, in the interest of letting our children read our messy and sad history by its light.
MGSF threads will be preserved in image form in the Archive topic OP as well as in a downloadable MHTML format as an attachment. The MHTML will preserve formats such as GIFs on the page that the screenshots alone cannot archive.
Embedded videos are difficult to preserve in any immortal format as they are dependent on video hosting websites, so neither screenshot nor MHTML will have working videos. However, links are clickable when viewing the MHTML and any important videos will be embedded below the screenshot in the Archive thread, so no context should be lost so long as the videos themselves remain on the internet.
Unfortunately the Archives will lack much of the charm that came with browsing MGSF as they can only be preserved in their current TapaTalk hosted state. If anybody has any threads they saved back in the day that retain the old visuals, please do reach out to me!
