What Are You Listening To?
That's awesome, I love that early, early synth sound in there. So poppy, so optimistic.

Hopefully seeing this artist in Brooklyn in mid October. She captures the Y2K hypertrance sound like no one else at the moment, imo

This is the shit that's keeping me up way past my bedtime rn, i tell you hwat

I'm not sure where the cutoff is for "early" synth, but I think 1980 might be too late!  Pumaman is delightfully incompetent as a film - one of the best MST3K episodes ever.

1980 is on the cusp, for sure. A few years out from Kraftwerk's Autobahn, and a decade out from Wendy Carlos' Switched-On Bach, but in this new world of breakcore and hypertrance, it may as well be synthesizer primordial ooze!

up until this year the only Kurt Vile I’d heard was Pretty Pimpin’ - which is an outstanding song, so shame on me for not bothering to investigate more. I’ve been diving into his catalogue lately and this in particular is, as they say, an absolute BELTER of a tune.
