Worth it? what I played of Arceus I liked the way it differentiated itself and it felt like the boldest entry in a while just because something was actually quite different for once. There’s also a real focus on the catching element which I liked but I didn’t play enough to give a concrete opinion. I thought Let’s Go looked shit so never bought. Loads of Switch games are on sale digitally rn for the Switch 2 release. Have you had a look? Or FaceBook Marketplace is good for getting Nintendo games below store price.

More of a card collector now, love going to the card shows. Does your card collection stop after Silver, too?

Haha pretty much! I mainly go up to 2003 but do have some completed sets from 2015-16.

Hmm the Generations set? I think I have most of those cards too, I should check some time. I collected kinda casually when at uni.

Legends does a piss poor job of selling itself early on. Obviously it immediately shakes up the usual Pokemon gameplay loop but considering its target audience obviously does play its whole hand too early. By the end you are ducking and diving like a souls game whilst issuing orders to Pikachu at the same time, Legends Arceus is very cool.
Let’s Go is dog shit though, although I kinda exclusive nuzlocke difficulty hacks now so I guess it depends what you’re after. If you want a nostalgia jerk I’d still argue just emulating fire red/leaf green is much cheaper and truer to Pokemon gameplay, and if you want more Pokemon with modern graphics I’d suggest scarlet/violet over let’s go
Unsure if this should go in this chat or the hobby chat but I am a big card collector, what’s everyone’s favorite pull?

So Legends: Arceus good and Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee bad, got it. Shame really, because I'm always game to revisit Kanto. They could probably remake Gen 1 over and over and over again and schmucks like me would always have an interest.

I just got Arceus the other day. Been enjoying it so far. It definitely has a different feel with less focus on battling and more on exploring and catching.

Oh I have a few cards you'd probably like. Base set Charizard and Venusaur. Base Set 2 Blastoise. Neo Genesis Lugia. Been debating getting them graded but I don't know if it's worth the hassle or if they're even good enough.

Null might know a thing about this. I hear it’s on some level based on grading politics so you could go to all the trouble only to get graded lower than you should depending on the climate. Post photos though!

Post photos though! Dirty Duck Went and got some photos. No first editions for me. Figured I throw in Null's favorite pokemon too. I also remember having a Raikou to go with Entei, but I lost it decades ago. Sad as Raikou is probably my favorite of the Gen 2 legendary trio.
I have plenty of the first two gens stuff in a shoe box somewhere.

Lovely cards, mate. Very clean! Charizard aside, Gengar is my man! Even have him Tattoo'd, haha. Also currently have a Gengar Fossil card signed by Ted Lewis with PSA at the moment.
