I see the Game Awards have announced that the cut-off for this year is 20th November, so GTA VI will be eligible. And unlike 2018, there's no God of War standard titan of a game to go toe-to-toe with Rockstar.

Lmao. I kinda just skipped over them all. They were bigly forbidden in my house when I was too young to buy my own, and when V came out I didn't really pay any attention. So I have like no connection to the series and have only played a few minutes of 4. I played a shitload of RDR2 a couple years ago though and it kinda got me thinking about trying GTA. It was a much better game than I expected.

GTA is an incredible series to be honest. I'd be absolutely chomping at the bit for VI if it wasn't for the digital only bullshit and the delays/leaks. V was ever so slightly disappointing for me but not on a major level. I fully expect VI to blow me away.

My bold prediction is that VI is excellent, but not generational "GOAT" contender that so many desperately want/think it to be. It'll settle at 91 on Metacritic, so some way off the 95+ scores that every other mainline 3D GTA has scored.
