Sorry state of affairs. I've not played in a good few weeks but that's because I had hardly anyone to play it with (only Nate and I managed to play together in the end) and there's been 0 additions to make me feel the need to boot it up over the slew of new game releases that come with this time of year.
I do still feel the itch to play it but there's just no draw. Thinking about it now there was no clan implementation or anything like MGO2 to encourage a sense of community and playing with the same people over and over.
It's a big shame especially because there was a good base to work from there. Just can't leave something like this hanging in the current market though.
For as much as I hate MGO2 with a passion, a big part of why it was so successful compared to MGO3 and Fox Hunt was because it launched with MGS4 on day 1 and already had a DLC roadmap. FOB is 10 years old and still has an active player base because it also launched with MGSV. If multiplayer is going to be an aspect of any Metal Gear game, they can't keep releasing it over a month after launch and especially with such bare bones content and no assurances of additional stuff down the road. They're good modes but not so good to sustain anyone beyond the biggest die hard fans of Delta.

This is it. Any casual player will beat the main game and will either trade their copy in or just never boot it up again. Fox Hunt's promotion was minimal enough that I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the install base is unaware Delta even
has an online mode now, or had one coming on release.
Apparently cross-play of some variety is being added right now between PC and Xbox-from what I've read this is however more of a side effect of the fact that they've added Snake vs Bomberman to PC by releasing a version that is essentially an Xbox version of the game. I'd very much like cross-play AND Snake vs Bomberman on PS5 so fingers crossed, but breath not held.
Anyone still playing Foxhunt? Possible to get into games these days? Planned updates?

They never bothered to update it properly after the first small update that merely changed a few details about map sizing and weather changes so I highly doubt they're supporting it now I'm afraid, my guess would be it's dead although you might find a very small but regular contingent playing still (which is basically what it turned into after the first week, including @
Dirty Duck and myself until we stopped). I'd guess the team has moved on to working on the Peace Walker co-op in Vol 2 collection but I could be wrong.
This thing died within 2 weeks. I never intended to play because I hate the extraction/battle royale BS but I watched Perfect Stealth. Apparently, they worked on this for 3 years. Must have been interns or something because that sucks for 3 years of work.
Eh I honestly think it was pretty fun, especially when playing with a friend. I just think it needed a roadmap of things to be added instead of just thrown out to flounder with such little content and no sign of anything incoming.

My cope is that it's a test bed for a proper MGO. As in, getting devs used to the engine.

Would be big if true. Fox Hunt as a mode on a proper MGO could be great, with customisable characters again. It definitely needed some polish, the gunplay was horrible in it somehow?
