I like Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes!
remember progressive house???
the mid 00s were a special time. one canadian mouse man discovered the forbidden technique of playing chords on eighth notes, then switching to offbeats when the beat dropped. this discovery carried edm for probably a solid decade
listening back to some of my faves of this style, there is something very soothing about the simplicity of it. just these deep, clean, resonant plucks.

I was really into deadmau5 as a teenager. I used to post on FaceBook whenever Waterloo Road used one of his songs or if a poster appeared in the background of Eastenders lmao
Unlike Daft Punk I didn't really keep up with listening to him as I entered my late teens and then adulthood, but I listened to For Lack of a Better Name so much during secondary school and >Album Title Goes Here< was one of my most anticipated albums towards the end of my school days. "Telemiscommunications" I do actually listen to once in a (very) blue moon.
He was a bit of an idol to me at one point weirdly. I loved how earnestly he wore his love of video games and other nerdy things on his sleeve (at a time slightly before it became cool to), and I'd get invested in stuff like him beefing Madonna after she asked if anybody had seen Molly or whatever at an electronic music festival (lol), and I remember really wanting DJ Hero 2 because him and some of his songs were in it (I kind of want to revisit that game and see if it was any good because as a kid I did not get it at all).
Listening back to some of these tracks I'm surprised at how much my brain just remembers them despite having not listened in years and years. Funny, that.

Gonna need that based off the title alone
