Hey, made me happy seeing this forum coming to life again, seeing old names such as NateDog and Dirty Duck made me very nostalgic! Anyways, glad to be back and to be a part of the rebuilding again, cheers!

lol thank you! didnt think of that. I kinda missed MGSF, reddit is not my kind of thing, was very sad when i saw that it died but happy that its going back up again. Question though: Do we have a dark mode on this site???

So we have a lot of themes, if you scroll down to the bottom you'll see a drop down menu that says "MGF Gray." Click that and you can select a theme.

The darkest theme is "VR Training", but other slightly less dark themes are "Ghost Babel" (a mobile focused theme), the "Black" camo, and the new "REX Hangar" theme. See which one you like. All the ones with "--" before them are just different camos for the Camo Index theme, if you select any of them you can also change the camo by clicking the little camo index square in the top right.

If I rememeber correctly didnt we have clans back in MGSF? Made me wonder now when I saw your Ravensword!

They are still up as you know but after the forum software was acquired by a company called TapaTalk the site was rendered pretty horrible to use and all themes and the likes that the staff had built up over years were essentially wiped overnight. With the years of posts stuck on that horrible infrastructure and unable to be moved elsewhere the decision was made to shut up shop and keep the old boards as an archive.

A couple of sites were made afterwards in an attempt to make a new home for members of the old forum to varying degrees of success but eventually ended. This one was made last year after a period where those of us still about were left with only a Discord to talk on, but much like yourself many of us aren't the biggest fan of modern sites like Reddit. We're still small but it's been nice having somewhere again and we're constantly trying to grow and get new members. How did you find it this time around?

That's so sad. I honestly saw the Vol.2 announcement and was thinking its time for a new re-run through all the games. And it just hit me to check upon MGSF and when I did I actually saw a link from google pointing me here. Then I started seeing the old names like NateDog, Wayno, Dr Strangelove and so on and it put a big smile on my face knowing the community was still alive, brought alot of nostalgic feelings back so I signed up ASAP. Is that discord up for grabs or is it more private among you and your mates?
