Star Wars: Galactic Racer is an arcade anti-grav racer and a spiritual successor to 1999's Episode I: Racer. It's developed by Fuse Games, a new studio founded by ex-Criterion (Burnout, Need for Speed) leads, and published by Secret Mode, out October 6 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Set after Return of the Jedi, it follows Shade, a pilot who joins the Galactic League at the invitation of founder Darius Pax to take down Kestar Bool, the league's top racer, who is trying to seize control and who was responsible for Shade's earlier imprisonment.

This has really piqued my interest to be honest. Very tempted to pick it up after I've platinumed Death Stranding. Anyone else interested?

Had my eye on it but thought I'd let it pass me by but the reviews seem to have been amazing, reading great stuff from everyone playing it so far. I kind of wish every game I was looking out for wasn't getting such amazing feedback though! I can't buy or have the time for all these games man. I'm already delaying playing Ace Combat 8 and skipping the KH collection.

Yeah it's great to see all of these seemingly must play titles piling up but also giving me existential terror at finding the time for it all

I have been itching for a new racing game for years (the last one I tried was Forza Horizon 5. Another dope Hospital Records radio station, but I thought the world was very dull, except for the temple region. Sorry, Mexico/Mexicans!) and I have recently dived headfirst back into Star Wars. This was an easy buy for me, is all I'm saying, haha. Planning on spending some of my disposable income on this ASAP, because I love racing games (despite an utter lack of interest in any kind of motorsport IRL) and I love Star Wars!

I've got my hands on it since Tuesday and loving it. Haven't played it as much as I would have liked (work, life, etc) but I definitely recommend it and will say that it's a blast. Can't wait to play more.

I'm not a racer fan, but the roguelike aspect looks good and someone from work is singing it's praises so I'm tempted!
