🙄
The Direct wasn't anywhere near as good as it needed to be, for me. In terms of stuff we already knew about, Splatoon Raiders and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave both look fun.
Xenoblade Genesis looks pretty cool but I still never got around to beating Xenoblade Chronicles which feels like a more pressing play.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort would be cool if I didn't find the avatars such a vibe killer...I hoped after Tomodachi Life they'd just use the souped up Miis in it but unfortunately it looks like even if you choose a Mii the backgrounds are still filled with the avatars.
I kiiiind of like the look of Final Fantasy Resonance but it does feel a bit too busy a clashing of styles. I like the more detailed use of pixel art and whatnot but it randomly switching to rendered attacks with Cloud Strife just looks a bit jarring to me.
One thing I noticed was just how uhh bad a lot of the third party ports looked. The Kingdom Hearts IV footage looked awful. I don't think the Switch 2 deserves to get as much flack for its graphics as lots of people give it but in this Direct I just kept thinking it was pretty noticeable.
I weirdly forgot about the Ocarina of Time remake leaks so when the final announcement was obviously a Zelda game I was excited wondering what they'd be going for this time. As the narration went on I was like "hm this feels a bit too much like Ocarina of-ah wait."
Honestly, very very boring announcement. But of course it'll be the first game to make an Ocarillion dollars regardless of what I think.
Deltarune Chapter 5 being the most exciting announcement...kek

Just found out that both Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders are priced cheaper than other Switch 2 games due to them being smaller scope packages compared to the previous flagship titles. Obviously there was a time where all games cost this so £40 was once the norm but it's neat to see when nothings really stopping them selling it for the standard price, and I'm sure plenty would have still bought them if they had.
