About Me: Video Games - Bread - 21-06-2026

Just a little trend that's been doing the rounds on certain subreddits for a while now, and I thought it would be a really cool way just to flesh out everyone's tastes, and for some people (especially any newcomers) to get to know some of the other members of the board a little bit better. 

Link to the grid here:  https://grids.fun/t/about-me-video-games-dcefq - this should hopefully provide you with a blank grid but there's a chance that you may have to remove my picks.

Naturally I would expect to see a lot of MGS here but it'd be cool to see what other games/franchises pop up. I've put my own self-imposed rule in place whereby I can't pick the same game twice, but feel free to fill out the grid however you want. Hopefully we can generate some interesting discussion too. I'm sure Most Overrated won't cause any drama whatsoever.

This took me a while. Especially since I also did a no repeat rule. E33 would've had best soundtrack if I did.

Ah Minecraft for best "Turn My Brain Off" is clever. I thought about putting that on for "Best With Friends" since MGSF had a fun server back on the day.

Anyway Best Story was the last one I filled out. I kept thinking of games I loved and Elden Ring just made sense given my no repeat rule. It's a game I'd 100%'d due to having multiple playthroughs and even explained the story to others. My line of thinking was "If you can explain the story well enough to others that they become interested and you yourself like it, then it's good to you at least"

Mass Effect was my runner up for it. Tongue

Love these kind of things but I honestly spend too long going back and forth on my choices lol. Even looking at it now I'm wondering if I should've done Dragon Age II for 'Overhated' instead.

@black king RE3R is a great shout for Overhated, wish I thought of it myself. I don't think it's a particularly good remake but if you think of it as an isolated, standalone game, it's a lot of fun.

@Jassassino I was very close to putting Dragon Age: The Veilguard is Overhated myself rather than Dragon Age II, that game got SO MUCH shit when it dropped when the reality is that it's actually a very solid RPG.

I nearly put Spider-Man 2 on my 'Overhated' as well lmao. Digimon World is such a good selection.

I also went no repeat and struggled with Protagonist. But Dave is a good soul. A bit annoyed I couldn't find a place to slot in Balatro. Yes, Elden Ring (and therefore Souls games) are not my thing.
