MGF Mafia I: Murders & Executions
#81
Listen! This is all a big misunderstanding. I tailed null on night 1 and found out he was (character name - seriously, can I disclose that or not?)

I checked his coat pocket on day 2 and found the Michael Jackson tape. This is -supposed- to reveal character alignment.

The logical explanation, at least based on my novice understanding:

Someone must have used the special ability,

"Les Miserables Matinee (ID one living player)
When used, the player will swap identities with the next player to die that night. Going to Les Mis as your new identify cements it with a credible alibi. The dead player appears with the false identity, and alignment."

A switcheroo.

You can say what you want in here Starschwar I just can't confirm or deny it.

Thank you. Okay, so on Night 1, I determined Null is - was - Marcus Halberstram. On Day 2, I checked Marcus Halberstram's coat and found the same MJ tape from the night of the murder. It's a switcheroo.

Ok so if starschwar is being honest, then Null is mafia and Duck is town. So I'll go back over the last two days and see if anyone is mirroring Null's movements.

What makes you guys think he’s not lying to save his skin, exactly?

Similarly, I know multiple people tailed Jass - but has anyone actually checked his alignment?

Hmm well for that to work Null would have to be town and a mafia member would then have switched ID's with Duck. If that's the case, we're down two townies instead of one.

Either way, someone switched ID's with Duck because the mafia killing one themselves overnight just doesn't make sense.  Undecided

So are we in a 5v1 or 4v2?

I went over Null's posts and one caught my eye:

Quote:Null
My feeling at this point would be to lynch one of ‘Gorn or Dep. I’m also kind of suspicious of Starschwar but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt right now.

Like me, he's suspicious of the absentee people but he never mentioned st3ve. Apparently st3ve is also voting through PM to Agent which also weirds me out. He's known to be mysterious but that's not helping his case in my eyes.

My suspicions are with st3ve right now and maybe starschwar. He could be lying and try to make us think we got one when we have none.

I didn't check Jass's allignment. I assume one out the four of us who looked did, yeah?

edit: nevermind I just realized, half of the four who looked into Jass are dead.

Willing to leave my character ID to somebody who's willing to check my alignment. This being said, it would actually be dumb to do so, considering - IF - Starschwar is telling the truth about the Les Miserables ability being used, it would more than likely absolve my involvement in being a Mafia, considering it was actually me who started the lynch train on Null.

Starschwar's scenario is honestly so bizarre that I'm willing to believe it, but it feels like it's an absolute 90% likely to be false scenario. So my suspicions are heavy with him. I'm also thinking people who are just following the crowd are crazy right now. But that's because we've not had as much flowing activity as previous games maybe.

Also, sorry hard to check on mobile ngl but are there actions which can be used by civilians which can kill people? Like guns etc. - It could be that somebody got a gun and killed DD like so. Alternatively, if Null was in fact Marcus and Starschwar is telling the truth, then surely this actually is proof that we're on the right track. So it may be worth taking a look at who subtly sided with Null on lynch votes.

I will say also, Null was happy to defend Aragorn pre-emptively when I drew attention to him.

Lynch votes won't really help since I don't see Null ever voting to lynch anyone. He voted No lynch on Day 1, but so did most everyone else. He didn't vote on Day 2 since he was the target of the lynch train.

There's the sea urchin ability which kills someone, but they'd need to ID two people to claim it from Agent. I don't think anyone had access to two ID's on day 1. Plus it's announced if someone uses it per the rules.

@Jassassino since I can't figure out how to break up parts of a post for a quote.
