MGF Mafia 3: The Woodsboro Murders

No one dying suggests Annoying Prick has successfully blocked a mafia member from executing a kill, no? that or Ghostface chose not to kill anyone.

BB88 having the knife confirms one of two things to me:

1. Either he did in fact have a double role, but Duck would have mentioned this in the player list so I don't think so.

2. The Gossip is the last remaining accomplice, and BB88 was feeding words to him to send to me.

I don't think I can share screenshots, but BB88 has been sending me messages at night since the first night. He voted me Day 1, messaged me to apologize and that he would vote the way I vote for the next phase, tried to position BK/Agent as an either/or situation and then marked Agent with the costume. This is why I had high initial confidence in his innocence, and his play against Weavo was that of a sacrificial lamb, i'm guessing Weavo investigating Agent a phase prior put a wrench to his attempt to frame him.

I think we have a remarkably easy way to win this game if everyone alive role claims right now. Whoever The Gossip actually is, has to be The Killer.

And frankly, it might be someone who is constantly inactive with how long the nights have been. Or maybe the killer tried to kill but was unable to because of The Virgin's ability. Meaning the killers tried to kill someone unkillable last night. So once night hits again, they're definitely killing someone. It's a matter of time.

My personal thoughts:

Aragorn is the accomplice even as The Final Girl. BB88 was just way too dead set on defending him and Aragorn kept insisting he was The Gossip and was messaged by him during the night even though we know now that is impossible.

Roger is The Killer. He kept insisting that BB88 was not the obvious suspect and kept trying to move the blame away from him to a more inactive member.

The reason that I was not killed tonight is because The Class Clown/BB88 used the mafia kill action during the day phase, preventing them from using it during the night phase (if you read the role description it says that is what will happen). Even if this is not the case I shared my joint with Aragorn so if I did block the kill then it would suggest he is mafia

bb88 has been lynched. He couldn't have done anything if had wanted to. IF you really blocked Aragorn and there is no killing, I don't know what else to guage from that. Also, I've hinted as to what my role is already :p

I am not sure if I can post screenshots (@Dirty Duck confirm pls) but he absolutely is The Gossip, or was acting through The Gossip. I can outline every single message he has sent me, or outright quote them.

This is why I strongly believe that the accomplice here is The Gossip. If everyone role claims accordingly, The Gossip has to be the accomplice/killer since he was doing BB88's bidding. Anyone that refuses a role claim at this stage of the game is prime suspect.

BB88 essentially used The Gossip to buy good will.

EDIT: to Roger's point, i'm not counting BB88 being the Clown = no night kill, since he was lynched - so I don't think the rule extends to whoever is left and is a killer.

There's two problems with a general role claim IMO. Or three now really.

1. If there's more than 1 mafia remaining, they know exactly who they need to kill next and have a good chance at winning because
2. There's nothing to stop anyone from claiming the same role as anyone else and then we end up with mass panic and hysteria
3. Obviously nobody is going to come forward as the gossip at this point if they've been colluding with a known mafia

I agree with this. I think aragorn is very suspect at this point, it just depends on if he's actually been getting these messages or not. It seems a little too risky to me, IMO. I still think Aragorn is an overzealous townie. But my understanding of the rules is what you said about the clown is right. The killer couldn't have killed in the night because the clown used it in the day. IMO currently Roger is the most suspicious person who has been actively posting

Then what is your role? I don't see the point in being coy about it right now. If we can identify the two mafia players then nobody has to die ever again. We can lynch one and I can use my night power on the other one.

There are definitely two mafia players remaining. BB88 claimed The Gossip and Aragorn claimed to have received a message from him speaking as The Gossip. We know Aragorn is The Final Girl. So either there is still The Gossip in play or Aragorn is mafia. Either way we're still left with The Killer, so that's two mafia.

I personally don't think role claiming is a bad idea. Firstly all the good roles are gone anyway. The main risk is that they'd avoid targeting The Virgin but I'm pretty sure I'm the next on the chopping block anyway. Obviously mafia will end up claiming another role but it would allow us to identify the four definite suspects and we could probably go from there. It's harder to lie on the fly too, there might be obvious lies said if mafia are forced to explain the actions they performed for a role they don't actually have.

I guess it is totally possible that Aragorn is telling the truth. The main thing that stands out to me besides BB88 basing his attacks entirely on accusations against Aragorn and Aragorn supporting his narrative is that Aragorn was incredibly credulous when Agent was killed and assumed he was mafia instantly even though it made little sense for mafia to die during a night phase. 

This isn't a reason to think he is mafia but I'm also very confused as to why he is saying that my power blocked the mafia kill when when I targeted him. I used my power on Aragorn! I don't know what the person targeted sees but Weavo knew he was visited by The Stoner when I did it to him so it's odd he would be saying this. BB88 was right when he said that there are less roles than players so is there a mafia role that can block night actions or something?

I think Roy is unlikely to be mafia because he was very eager to lynch BB88. I didn't suspect Tibbs until he tried denying the use of a general role claim just now. Star easily could be mafia, he hasn't been active enough to comment on. Roger is still the most suspect because he refused to lynch BB88 right down to the last moment, which is a bizarre choice when he was obviously mafia by the time he made those posts.

I've very much up for lynching Aragorn as previously mentioned - he's either mafia or a confusing townie so it's a win either way. I'm not 100% sure which of the two he is.

From the remaining people, Annoying Prick is my least suspicious, I actually feel like you have been helpful.

The other three (Tibbs, Roger and star) I'm pretty 50/50 on, any of those could be mafia.

I did suggest that the least active users could most likely be the other mafia members. BB88 wanted Aragorn gone, would it make sense for Mafia to kill their own? Weavo confirmed Annoying Prick role. Aragorn role has been confirmed. As far as I'm aware, the most suspicious are the most inactive, due to these long nights. So we have two possibilities. Annoying prick happened to block Aragorn the same night I was chosen to be killed. Unfortunately, I cannot be killed. I think Star, Roy and Mr Tibbs are the most suspicious.
