Identity Crisis

I'm sorry to hear about all of that Heli, it's pretty heavy to be honest. I opened the thread when you first made it but I struggled to really think about contributing anything meaningful. Then I just realised maybe my empathy is enough.

Look at it this way, at least you still have video games. Imagine how you'd cope without them? I'd be dead, to be frank.

I also have a lot of books and comic books that I haven't even started. And yet I have even more videogames than that, and I am drowning in time for the next three weeks. Already made it much further into Delta than I have before I stopped doing all the things that make me worse.

I am grateful that you reached out at all.

You are yourself.  Every human being is wired in their own unique way.  Whatever diagnoses, right or wrong, are applied to you - you are still you.  Your thoughts and feelings are valid.  If you need help in a professional capacity, be it therapy or medication - that is also okay.  Do not limit your self worth or your identity to a condition.  You are greater than the sum of your parts.  Be proud of all the good things about yourself.  Do not blame yourself for anything that is beyond your own control.  Improve where you think things should and can be. But you must keep being you.  Nobody else can.

Yep. I am the first, last and only of my kind. I just forgot myself and what I wanted when I was young along the way.

Thank you for the kind words. I am already doing much better than when I posted this.

Keep strong, and keep going.
