There's a very niche subcategory of games in my head that I call "franchises that I really want to get into, but struggle every time I try to play them" and Mafia is potentially #1 on the list. Can't say I have any great love for the previous 3 games, but I'll keep fucking trying, and I'm really liking the look of this one.

I'm not bothering with this at all unless it surprisingly gets absolute rave reviews. I've found every Mafia game to be really boring. Didn't even bother properly with the third.

IO Interactive will be showing off their new Bond game in a few days. I'm way too excited about it and am setting myself up for disappointment but I had a fun time with Blood Stone back in the day and I'm just itching for more stealth / spy games. With MGS potentially on its way back to being an active franchise, Ubisoft teasing something Splinter Cell related and IOI making a James Bond game it feels like big stealth games may be making a comeback after what has felt like a fairly bleak period.

IO are really good so I have hope. I also see it's called First Light and they released a new image of Bond. Kinda looks like Craig's outfit at the start of Casino Royale.

The Outer Worlds 2 is available for pre-order. Looking forward to getting my hands on it, really enjoyed the original and I'm interested to see what Obsidian do with it.

I tried playing the Avengers game i bought on one of those CD key websites. That fucking game does not make it 5 mins into me starting the campaign before it crashes, what a piece of shit
