Releases March 19th. Anyone interested? I've been following this title for a fair while now. Began with seeing a GIF of combat randomly under something entirely unrelated and I thought it looked incredibly detailed, with long-range weapons interspersed with what seemed to effectively be wrestling moves, so I had to ask the person what it was. The scope of the game looks incredible, both in terms of the map and in terms of what you're able to do within the world. Pearl Abyss are known for Black Desert Online but have been working on this for many years and it is using a proprietary engine, one which a recent former developer has said was effectively being rebuilt and renewed every year since the project's inception to keep improving its capabilities.

I don't tend to buy many games these days new but I've had this one planned for a long while and am very much looking forward to getting into it. A lot of people are suggesting if it lands with its aims it'll be a definitive contender for GOTY. It's not something I've put much thought into as we've seen many a promising title come and go and not deliver on what it aimed to or claimed it would, but things are looking good for it just a week out from release.

It only came up on my radar recently but I’m definitely interested. When I’ll get round to playing it god knows, but I’m interested to see the critical reception

It's pretty fucking ambitious, I'll give it that much. Seems like one of those "too good to be true" sort of games, will be interested to see if it sticks the landing.

Ngl seeing ads of this lately, reckon it'll be a game which enjoys a short period of hype before people turn on it quickly. I'm personally quite uninterested in it, actually feel like despite all of its mish mash elements (mechas + dragons + high fantasy + steampunk + whatever) that I've seen this game 100s of times before already.

24 hours before it goes live so 10PM GMT tonight. Shame I won't be able to play before then but I'm heading to see Project Hail Mary instead, hoping I can get some time over the weekend somehow to get a few hours in.
