Blood on the Clocktower
(30-04-2026, 08:58 AM)Annoying Prick Wrote: I think executing Aragorn is the best option but deaths in this game don't automatically role reveal as in Mafia so at best we'll know he isn't the Imp and he'll still be able to lie and will still have one vote.

It's true, the only information we glean is that Agent's arguments that Gorn is the Demon are false. But I guess that's the way it's going.

This means that tomorrow we'll have to get the Demon, not the minion. As things currently stand if the Agent/star unholy union theory is correct we still don't actually know which of them is the big bad. Agent could be telling star what to do while taking all the heat off of him in play.

Death is information, and Gorn on the block will give the clearest state of play going forward even if it’s “incorrect”. Jass is right.

What is safe about it when I have been thoroughly cleared + the evidence that is being put forward by the Jass/Starch/Agent triarchy completely ignores the bluffs that are at play?

Everything pointing to me is conjecture, and the shift in tone from confidence to ''this is maybe our best play but it's okay if we shank an innocent person because of information!'' is telling. You can maybe stretch your disbelief to Starch being played and being actually innocent, and I think Jass is innocent, but Agent has to go.

You're a victim of mechanics. It's not comfortable and clean. But these games rarely are.

Agent being a bluff master general is definitely possible but it requires a lot more moving mechanics than you lying about being the mayor.

Sorry.

@Wayno let's get this moving.

It’s not just about Agent being good at the game, the literal mechanic of bluffing is at play. This is a piece no one is acknowledging.

Death will vindicate but my life will lead you to victory. Think about this properly before Wayno moves the day.

Sorry guys, being in credit control for a pathology company can be brutal some days. I'm not shilling for big pharma, trust me.

Looking at the many, many posts it looks like Aragorn has 4 votes to Agent's 2. Therefore Aragorn is executed and so ends Day 2.

And the game....

Day 3
Good morning Townsfolk! It seems the Imp is still up to no good. The unfortunate player to die in the night was starschwar.

Here is the status of everyone so far.
Seat 1: @Null Alive
Seat 2. @Dirty Duck Alive
Seat 3. @Jassassino Alive
Seat 4. @Agent Alive
Seat 5. @starschwar Dead. Dead Vote remaining: Yes.
Seat 6. @Annoying Prick Dead. Dead Vote remaining: Yes.
Seat 7. @Aragorn Dead. Dead Vote remaining: Yes.
All actions have been carried out. All information has been handed out.

Nominations now require 2 votes to put the nominee on the block (half the alive player count rounded up). This can be a combination of alive and dead votes. You only get one dead vote, use it wisely. If you are dead you cannot nominate (someone can nominate on your behalf, though).

Crack on with the process of avenging me.

I would like to draw to your attention to the fact that we are now in the final 4. If you choose to execute today, and you get it wrong, and the Demon kills tonight then there will only be the demon and one townsfolk left meaning the evil team wins. Think very carefully about your nominations and voting in today's phase.

"One of these players registers as the demon to you."

Jassassino
Agent

You do the maths.

I Nominate Agent

Killing starschwar to try and make the idea of them being the evil duo seem less feasible was a good move. I thought he'd kill me or Jass, but killing me removes his most obvious scapegoat now that his "Gorn is definitely the Demon" campaign has been proven false, and Jass has historically agreed with Agent. He's also laid the groundwork for Null, the one player he can't night kill, potentially being partnered with Aragorn just in case people don't buy that. starschwar only needs one last vote anyway since today is do or die time, so self sacrifice at this stage costs nothing. To quote Agent earlier in the game to Aragorn, "GGs, not much you could have done."

Yes to Agent

The deep dark soil may hold my bones but justice will prevail.

Agent tried - but the jig is up, and nailing starch to the cross isn’t enough for me to discard everything that was said in these past few pages. All things considered we still have the strongest case against him out of everyone.

Yes to Agent.
