I feel like they'll play it safe and stick to remakes for a bit if all goes well with Delta, maybe they'll do an MGS1 remake next as it's the other most beloved game in the series.
Then after that maybe they'll kind of try to dabble in a bit of remake and a bit of new game for a MG1&2 remake? It could be a neato idea if they added some more themes and/or story beats to beef up the run time and modernise the games a bit
