Considering that the release date is 2 weeks away, they had a really excellent opportunity to just shadow drop this and watch as everyone loses their minds, and they blew it.

You’re not wrong, but maybe something to do with release weekend performance convinced them it was a good idea to give it a while for people to get hyped and ready to buy on launch instead of needing people to find out it was out first
