As bottleneck episodes of TV shows go, was a big fan of Episode 5. Very enjoyable, short film-esque energy.

Yeah agreed, think it was a near perfect way to do a Superhero TV show's bottleneck episode. Even deeply enjoyed the 'cameo', it's the kind of small casual interconnectivity like that I enjoy.

Is this actually taking place in the Netflix DD canon? I never got around to S3 but would like to be excited about something superhero again lol

Yeah it is meant to be, it tries as hard as possible to pick up where S3 left off with a couple of changes and alterations. It's a bit messy because (Hawkeye and Echo Spoilers)

Kingpin in the other shows he's in seems to have originally meant to have been a new version, but then Echo and Reborn episode 1 recanonises the Netflix shows, which was almost certainly because of massive backlash the original leaked Born Again scripts had before filming, so you don't really have a people explanation yet as to how somebody who was a wanted criminal documented by the police and justice office is back to BAU in born again.
