Have your thoughts on the series changed over the years?

My opinion about MGS 2 drastically changed due to how much people wank its predictions and message. Greatest game ever made group think actually damaged game entire message.

I understand the fanbase of something being annoying, but why do you feel they've actually damaged the games message? Do you not think it exists in its own right regardless of what fans say about it?
