Absurd year really

GOTY: MGS (I mean..there are few games that have had such a big impact on my life)
Gameplay: Crash Bandicoot Warped (Christmas 98 this was a wrap. Shame I rinsed it before the new year arrived)
Narrative: MGS (there's probably stronger candidates here objectively but i'm biased)
Art Direction: Panzer Dragoon Saga (was difficult not to give this to MGS again tbh, but panzer's style was so dream-like and beautiful)
Soundtrack: Tekken 3 (Tekken 2 and 3 defined the 90s arcade scene for me in a lot of ways with their music, still have memories of it lingering in old south london bowling alleys)
Multiplayer: Street Fighter Alpha 3 (I bought this on a hot July day and spent the rest of the summer baking and sweating my arse off with my friends in my cramped bedroom not going outside. Truly the life.)
