I was never especially wedded to Oscar Isaac as Snake I won't lie.

I do find how these kinds of projects work kind of strange. What about Kong: Skull Island made Vogt-Roberts seem like the guy to do an MGS film? There's no director who's done a film with a similar vibe to MGS they could find?
