On the theme of Atlus JRPG's; currently doing a replay of Persona 4 Golden on PS5. I need to finish P5 Tactica and The Answer of P3: Reload. But I've also got Clair Obscur sitting there, and a Switch 2 due on Thursday. So many games right now...

Good few Atlus fans on here now, petition to turn this into an Atlus forum.

I see a bunch of OG P4 voice actors have come out and said they've not been asked to do the remake this week. Not too surprising considering P3R changed their entire voice cast (bar Elizabeth) but man, I've really got the P4G voice cast burned into my brain, it'll be weird. Guess Baker, Bailey, Bosch and BLowenthal are simply too famous these days.

I reinstalled Jedi Survivor with the intention of getting the last handful of trophies only to realise I started a NG+ on Grand Master and I'm 15% of the way through it and getting my arse handed to me while I relearn the controls. It's also 150gb+ and took AGES to reinstall.

I'm now playing Untitled Goose Game while I sulk about my decision.

They're all supposedly SAG-AFTRA affiliated so that is probably part of the reason. Not a great look for Atlus although I know some of the involved actors have had issues with the final offer not being accepted and the impact it is having on them.

I finished Persona 5 Royal and got the platinum. It was really good. I did buy the original PS4 version back in 2017, but didn't play much of it. I never thought I'd ever get around to finishing it, let alone get the platinum. The soundtrack is great, I liked the characters. I enjoyed the story. The game oozes style. One of things I didn't care for, though, is how long it is, especially with the extra semester at the end. The pacing was a real slog at times which probably means I won't bother playing it again. I also thought the battle system was just OK, I think for me it just lacked some omph, it leans more goofy and slapstick. I like battle systems to have impact and feel kinda epic. More of a me problem I guess.

But anyway, highly recommended if you like JRPGs.

5 is okay, always feel like a back in my day old fuck saying it but I feel like P5 really pales in comparison to 3 and 4. A lot of that is how much I hate the handholding it makes you do as well, rarely had days you had to do things but felt like 25% of my days were spent being told by that fucken cat that I couldn’t leave the house

Y'know, cos of the whole blackmail thing and her blaming Ann for what happened to Suzui. I get that she's got a character arc and becomes so much better by the end, but I remember I was firmly against her joining after she inadvertently paves the way to Kaneshiro.
