A lot of people here say ours is shite but one of the branches near me was supposedly their busiest branch in the world for a time (might still be actually). I've always found it fine but it's rare that I'd specifically say I was looking for that over other cheaper pizza takeaway.

I live in the part of the US that kind of invented pizza as we generally know it so I'm incredibly snobby and biased, and I wouldn't waste precious resources getting Dominos here. But it's pretty consistent worldwide afaik so if I'm in a place that doesn't have good pizza, and I want pizza, that's what I go with (or Pizza Hut).

Out of the big four national chains, Domino's is probably the best.

Crazy statement, Pizza Hut clears out of the big 3. But your humble bossman takeaway’s pizza usually beats that and is also a third of the price

Domino's clears, Pizza Hut is fine, Papa Johns is shite.

Pizza Express is also an acceptable alternative.

That Pizza Hut pan base is unreal.

Tend to find dominoes and daddy John’s base really floury in comparison. All the boss man pizzeria’s are shit by me nowadays, there was a time they’d smash the big 3 out of the park but they all taste like the same shit now.

With that said, after a night out bossman pizza hits different.

Last time I got truly, truly drunk I seized the chance presented to me and stumbled into the nearest greasy kebab joint, bought an XL margherita pizza and dug in with a few mates whilst it poured with rain. Honestly, best pizza since visiting Naples. That fat pan, that grease, the fakeness of the cheese. Oh!!!! Boy!!!!

I have dreams about Domino's Italiano Range tbh, that was their peak, around 2017 - haven't had a Domino's since about 2 years ago now so I can't say for sure, but I always rated it the top out of the big 3.

Feel like I just need to give a special shout out to Basil Leaf Pizzeria in Bermondsey, might not live anywhere near it anymore but it's still the go-to for me.

Right see that's just it. IMO, for just chain pizza I'd say Pizza Hut beats out Dominos depending on how good each is locally, but Dominos has a variety of stuff. In college, those boneless wings with some garlic sauce and the lava cakes was absolutely the tops, and then at that point why not throw a pizza into the mix. Pizza Hut could never.

Pizza hut used to be cool. Book-it to encourage reading, demo disc for PS1 that probably introduced my family to MGS, those dessert pizzas from their buffet before they got rid of dine in.
