Got my Tomyris piece 99% finished. Minor complaint is the placement means in photos the arm looks off because it wraps around to my hamstring slightly, but that's super picky.

I've not had a great year or so. One thing that's truly helped me pull my head out of my arse the past few months has been viewing the world through the lens of 'absurdism'. Camus frames it as the tension between our need for meaning and a universe that offers none and that clash is the absurd.
In The Myth of Sisyphus, he uses Sisyphus pushing his eternal boulder as a metaphor for being human: the point isn’t to escape the struggle but to face it clearly and still choose to push anyway. That defiance is where freedom sits.
Which is why Camus ends by saying, “One must imagine Sisyphus happy."

So I wanted a tattoo that represents that. But instead of man with boulder I wanted something more modern, something more ridiculous and something just more me. So I chose Goose from Untitled Goose Game. Yes, I think a game where the objective is to throw a lake in a rake and annoy unsuspecting villagers for giggles is a perfect metaphor on how to live my life and view the universe.

I have an entire thesis on why this holds up which I can bore you with upon request. But the long and short of it is Goose is Sisyphus and the bell is his boulder and when he gets it home to be greeted by bells of mischief past, it's clear he's stuck on his own loop. His absurd task is never complete. He's done this before and by golly he's going to do it again.

Yes, I put too much thought in to a niche videogame most people haven't heard of. Minor nitpick, the bell should be bigger, but it's a fucking videogame goose, that's really splitting hairs.
