State of Play June 4th

That was one of the better SoPs in a while. Really happy to finally see the Mortal Kombat collection, been waiting ages for them to release the classic games on current gen consoles. Also happy to see RE2 and RE3 classics finally coming to PSN. Final Fantasy Tactics is something I've been meaning to check out for a while, so it's cool to see a remaster. Silent Hill f is looking good, loved the remake of SH2, but it's been too long since SH has a good new entry in the series.

RIP Marvel vs Capcom. Actually kind of bummed about the ArcSys Marvel game. Didn’t love the look of it. Some of us are still waiting for Persona 5 Arena!!!!

Honestly cannot believe they realistically probably had to make a decision between Marvel: Tokon and P5A. I wanted P5A for years!!!! What about the leaks God damnit!!!!!!!!!!

After the initial fuming about no P5A wore off though, I do think Marvel: Tokon does look pretty fucking cool, I'm not really a tag fighting person (except TTT2 heheheee) but apparently it's going to let you choose between 4 Team Tag or a Lead Hero with 3 assists. But I'm inclined to grow my brain (again) to get into the full 4 Team Tag action. Also absolutely crazy that we live in a world where Sony own EVO, are licensing a 4V4 Marvel fighter (which will definitely be EVO '26 headline) and are making fight-sticks too.

Wasn't sure what to make of IO's Bond game. Was excited at the prospect of it but I wasn't overly enthused by it.

Not sure about Bond himself. The character model just looks very...plain, and telling us an origin story rather than giving us the Bond we know is bold. He didn't exactly ooze charisma in that trailer.

I'm sure gameplay wise, IO will knock it out of the park. I have no doubt it'll be a lot of fun to play.

It was great to finally see something new with IO's 007 game. I agree that the actor looked a bit weird but wrote it off as me just seeing an unfamiliar face in the role. I'm still very excited for that game and I'll give that actor his day in court

Titanic waste of time but that Marvel Arcsyc game looks absolutely disgusting in a good way. Can't wait for Dr. Doom to continue the Marvel vs Capcom tradition of being 89,000 plus on block on every fucking crossup!
