How's office life treating you, Gene ? Have you walked in to anything as horrific as the email I got at the end of my shift Friday?

Going well thanks man! Made friends with all the smokers/vapers anyway. Haven’t had anything quite as horrific as that email you’ve had though. Absolutely sickening, just let me earn my money and go home!

Can't have that attitude until you pass your probation!

No need to worry about that, I’ve got my g-string showing just above my trousers at all times!

I worked in an office for 9 months. Not lying when I said it was the worst period of my life and the deepest in depression I've ever been. Office people are so fucking weird man.

1. Trying to decide how to diplomatically unsub from these emails.
2. How dedicated to the job we obviously all are.
3. Dating at a leisurely pace.
4. Organised crime.
5. Screening girlfriend applications.

It's their attempt at getting the Finance department  get to know each other in the format of speed dating, basically.

I think some mouthy twat put on a feedback form "I don't have colleagues, I have strangers on a screen" and now it's come back to bite me them in the arse.

This is because our Finance is split between London and Manchester. My comment about "strangers on a screen" was about us not getting to visit the London office as often as we should. Not about me wanting to know that Racine's highlight of the week was discovering air fryer sheets are "a total game changer."

When you said speed dating for work I was wondering if they were embracing the whole workhusband/workwife thing.  Rolleyes

Jesus Christ how horrifying

I’ve hit the point of whenever I get the “Hello, how are you doing?” Teams messaged from a different team my response is just “Tell me what you want” like we’re at work and I’m never gonna see you face to face there is no need for the small talk
