Fuck every place in the UK that isn't my place. Also fuck my place because I'm from there and only I can say that.

This is so real but if anybody ever insults Dover I really don't have a leg to stand on because it's all valid criticism.

It's worse being from the black country because it's rare we get direct insults. We just get lumbered in with Brum which is arguably worse than anything they could say.

I remember meeting Brian (the_cobbinator) when he was over from the US as well -- over 15 years ago now which makes me feel a bit sick. The main thing I remember from that is that he really didn't understand me saying colloquially 'you what?' instead of 'pardon'... and then him also telling me I sound like a Harry Potter extra. I never emotionally recovered from that.

A lot of Americans seem to think that "British" is literally either cockney geezer or RP, so I get why it'd be infuriating. If someone tried to do an impression of me and then sounded like Jacob Rees-Mogg, I'd probably lose my shit too.
