i can tell deep in my souls that this will be some gimmicky Wii-tier slop. Coin toss on that being good or bad.

I've seen people are speculating it may have a companion app on your phone which tracks your eye movements to alter location/positioning of jump scares and effects. Honestly whilst I think that would be sick to tailor the scares to the player so specifically, I think that would suck for people who love horror but hate jump scares (my partner lmao)

I mean let's be real, PT didn't have that hypothetical tech and still wasn't exactly good for people who hate jump scares was it LOL

So Kojima clarified on Twitter the photo was for Entertainment Weekly showing off an in-game screenshot from OD KNOCK. Here it is bigger.

I really am desperate for a bit more news on this. This poster alone has me so hyped lmao. It looks like it's going to be absolutely terrifying.

Classic Kojima, filling his games with film references!

Does this mean we'll be defending a house from burglars? Is this Kojima's grand innovation which will make OD a once in a lifetime experience?

Hideo Kojima Confirms OD Development Is Back on Schedule

Quote:Hideo Kojima has provided an update on his OD project as his relationship with XBOX expands.

XBOX recently strengthened its partnership with Kojima Productions, agreeing to help publish the legendary developer’s PHYSINT project after PlayStation dropped it. Kojima shared the OD update himself as part of XBOX’s showcase at the Tokyo Game Show.

OD Resumes Production With Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer

Regarding OD, Hideo Kojima said performance capture, dialogue, and other sound recordings were paused during the SAG strike. However, it has resumed this year, and production is now proceeding on schedule. He also says that Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer have been delivering intense performances that he’s excited for the audience to see.

"Performance capture and ADR recording, which had been paused during the SAG strike, resumed this year, and production is proceeding on schedule. Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and the team have delivered intense and outstanding performances, which I can’t wait for you all to see."

The most recent update on OD came in June of this year, when it was reported that the project was safe from being cut as part of XBOX’s wider reset.

As he typically does, Kojima is hopeful this project will go beyond what is already perceived. In this case, he’s hoping to establish a new limit of fear.
