Well just received my Switch 2 back from Nintendo, it... well, it broke, and luckily the fault was covered by the warranty. Man, I missed this console. Not looking forward to downloading all my games again though, but I do get a new Internet provider on Wednesday, so hopefully that will speed matters up significantly (switching to full fibre). Also doesn't help that I'm also downloading my entire PS library on my new Pro, though.

Looking forward to getting back to Breath of the Wild the most, I'd just beaten the Vah Ruta divine beast and felt like an absolute g as I nailed it on my first attempt!

What happened to your Switch 2? Mine stopped working randomly very close to launch. Came back with no data and the box was only wrapped in like wrapping paper so was all bumped and scuffed to shit lmao

Something similar with the hard drive, woke up to a blank console one day and sent it in for repair. Had no issues, sorry about yours sounds mad!

Just discovered that, same as the original Switch, you can only have 2 Bluetooth controllers connected if you're using Bluetooth audio-and, same as the original Switch, a pair of Joy-Cons in their grip counts as 2 so you can't actually have any besides that lmao. Very annoying!

In more positive news we should have our usual February direct soon. Looking forward to some news as I can't think of any upcoming titles now...

So, err, they're re-releasing Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green on the 27th for Switch/Switch 2 (I'm assuming it's both). £16 for each of them. I might get one of them, haven't played a Pokémon game in my adult life so it might be fun to go down memory lane, FR was probably the last one I played.

Resident Evil 9 and a Pokémon session sounds like a good plan for my brithday!

Playing the demo for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. This has been a highly anticipated game for me as I played the 3DS game loads when in sixth form, though I feel as if my life back then lent itself better to it as I had a tribe of people I saw every day at school to put into it and regale with moments and gossip from their virtual lives.

So far I've spent ages making my Mii with the help of several spectators last night and I'm now making my girlfriend (this could end badly for me as it didn't go very well when I set the Wii up at hers...but they've added a lot more options now so Miis generally look a lot nicer these days)

I liked the demo although it was a lot shorter than I expected (and the shilling of "buy the full game!" dialogue at the end was quite forced although I found it funny). Want to pick it up but will wait a few weeks likely, but also read copies already look hard to find so I'm wondering if I should just bite now. I delayed on Pokopia because it sold out everywhere so same thing might well happen again (although I'm still annoyed I didn't preorder that from the Nintendo Store given I was looking at it and wanted a few of the bonuses but couldn't decide).

Yeah it's quite funny the way you can keep playing but all they'll say is "wow I heard in the full game you can-"

I'm a big fan of the game's sense of humour and using Miis again. Even though I haven't even got Pokopia yet I'm considering preordering it.

The customisation options are insane on the game. I still use Miis on stuff like Switch Sports over the new designs as I love how expressive you can make them, but the depth of hair options in this alone is crazy, then you have face paint which people are doing ridiculous stuff with.
