Lol SEVENTY GIGS? I thought this was going to be a fairly minor update, that's hilarious. Don't have Vol. 1 anyway so it doesn't affect me but that new MGS1 text just looks really wrong to me although it's good they included it.

OK I've read that the Vol 1. update isn't just a texture update, it's that everything will supposedly be uncompressed so that explains the size. Still, a bit strange.

Annoyingly I'd like Ghost Babel but buying this whole package is pointless for me, has it been confirmed yet if that's the "bonus" for buying the complete package as opposed to separately? Ah, yes it is. Load of shite.

Very disappointing MPO and Acid aren’t included.

I don’t ascribe to the idea that PO isn’t canon, because it was released as a direct sequel to MGS3 and its events are clearly referenced in both MGS4 and Peace Walker. But even that aside, the fact that games like Snake’s Revenge and Ghost Babel have or are being included demonstrates this should be a complete MG collection, regardless of whether the games are main line or not, the entire series should be included in these volumes. I’m hoping it’s just the case that so much effort was put into porting MGS4 that they didn’t have time for porting MPO or Acid 1/2 and that those games will appear on the next collection, but I’m not optimistic.

I'm with you. MPO to me is a critical part of Big Boss' journey, it shows him going from a lone soldier to someone assembling his own group of soldiers and learning how to lead. I never understood what is gained if it isn't canon? I didn't feel any of the characters were too out there to exist in canon. Cunningham is a far more believable villain than anything in Peace Walker for instance.

I'm wondering if stuff such as the SIXAXIS, iPod, and MacBook will remain. A lot of people are acting like they won't make the jump but it'd be a shame if they're debranded-I always thought the way Kojima used real brands really helped to ground MGS despite all it's zaniness.

Announced just now in the State of Play. MGS4 officially off the PS3. Peace Walker also present. Ghost Babel included as "Bonus Content." No sign of anything else as of yet. Screw Portable Ops, I guess! Kojima isn't even here to say no anymore what gives.

"The 2nd of the Collection" seems to imply a third.
