MGF Mafia 3: The Woodsboro Murders
#31
So we're mostly going in blind. Well let me use a random number generator here.....

I rolled a 4. Roger is listed fourth in the member list so he's my choice unless someone wants to talk me out of it.

Statistically isn't it better for town not to get someone on day 1 though, if that's an option? Since chances are it'd just be doing the killer's work for them.

I think we go back and forth on this one historically. The odds of actually getting a mafia on day 1 are extremely slim usually but the counterargument is you can use the voting process to see if anyone is sus or see how the bandwagons form to at least maybe learn something. It's kinda a hard call one way or the other I'm never convinced which way is best. Usually we end up with two dead town on day 2 though lol

I think going with the last inactive and using our abilities at night is the safest bet. So far, two hadn’t posted yet.

I'm not against killing someone who's inactive, given they have by now had the chance to save themselves.

Having said that, I don't buy the 'inactive players could be mafia intentionally staying inconspicuous' argument given this discussion has made being inactive conspicuous in itself. So if they really wanted to lay low they'd probably have started posting by now, if just to avoid getting killed the first round.

Seems more plausible to me that a town player might be genuinely inactive due to losing interest in the game after not getting a 'cool role', but if that's the case it's not a huge loss to get rid of them.

I do want to point out something, we have a themed game. I got my roller skates on and my cool hip boombox on my shoulder.

@black king I suggest you look elsewhere, perhaps the most talkative one here. Intentionally trying to throw off suspicion from themselves.

Tbh Null gives me bad juju but that’s just every game, more or less. Nothing substantial, just gut feeling.

I've always been iffy on what to do at the start. Never been a fan of shots in the dark, but that nearly cost us in The Matrix.

I'm going to vote No Lynch, but I'm probably wrong.

And to break character for a moment - sorry for lack of activity. Important family stuff going on, but I will try to get in at least once daily. more if things go well.

Yeah at this point, I think “all mafia are active” is starting to be the most probable option as I think the inactives are just being inactive.

@Roger If you mean me by the “the most talkative”, you obviously hadn’t played with me before. 🤣 You also were trying to push me since your very first post and hadn’t stopped ever since. If you want my opinion, that’s the most suspicious act in all previous 4 pages. I don’t want to say “lynch Roger” as I still want a concrete evidence against you if I wanna lynch you.

That said, I’ll be the first to throw the stone if @Wayno exceeds 48 hours without posting anything.

The thing is, lynching an inactive is not just about them potentially being mafia and laying low or whatever, it’s also just an efficient way of booting inactive players who aren’t going to contribute anything anyway. That’s how I see it.

"Anything"

This is my first mafia game and it's come at an inopportune time to put it mildly. It's not like I'm posting everywhere on yhe board and ignoring this. I'll do what I can.
